How to create a wallet and log in to it

You will need a SEED-phrase (mnemonic phrase) to enter the wallet and further transactions. It consists of 24 words.

To get started, download the UMI Wallet mobile app.

You can also use the web wallet on the website (if it's more convenient for you) - https://wallet.umi.top/. In this instruction we will consider logging in to the mobile app, but the principle of interaction with the web wallet is similar.

After downloading the app, go into the app and create a wallet.

Think of a wallet name for convenience. It will be displayed inside the wallet. In the future you can add several wallets in one application with different names.

Next, you will be prompted to generate a mnemonic phrase.Do this.

The mnemonic phrase is the most important part of your interaction with UMI. It is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose your smartphone or delete your app. No one, including the UMI team, has access to this phrase. Only you do. Keep it safe and secure.

Next, come up with a PIN to protect your wallet and enter it twice.

If you want, enable simplified FaceID or fingerprint sign-in.

That's all, the wallet is created. If you exit it or reinstall the application, you can log in by mnemonic phrase.

To do this, select “Login” on the home page instead of creating a wallet.

And then enter a mnemonic phrase.
